Recipe Lab Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 1, 2026
Recipe Lab is a personal cookbook app for saving, editing, cloning, rating, and annotating recipes.
Local Recipe Data
Recipe Lab stores your cookbook data on your device using local SQLite storage. This includes recipe titles, categories, ratings, ingredients, instructions, prep/cook times, source metadata, recipe versions, and notes.
For the current public test, Recipe Lab supports optional user accounts for cloud backup and sync. Recipes are still stored on-device first, then synced to Supabase when you are signed in.
Network Use
If you use URL import, Recipe Lab requests the URL you provide from your device and attempts to extract recipe data from the page. That website may receive normal request information from your device, such as IP address and user-agent metadata.
If you sign in, Recipe Lab sends your account email and recipe data to Supabase so your cookbook can be backed up and synced across devices. This includes recipe titles, categories, ratings, ingredients, instructions, prep/cook times, source metadata, versions, and notes.
AI Features
Recipe Lab does not currently ship AI editing features in the public test build. If AI features are added later, the privacy policy will be updated before those features are made available to testers.
Accounts And Sync
Recipe Lab uses email magic links for sign-in. Supabase stores account and session data needed to authenticate you and sync your cookbook.
Crash Reports And Feedback
Recipe Lab uses Sentry for crash and unexpected error reporting in preview and production builds. Crash reports may include stack traces, device and operating system information, app version/build metadata, route names, and internal operation names.
Recipe Lab is configured not to send recipe titles, ingredients, instructions, notes, source URLs, account data, or other user-entered recipe content to Sentry.
Testers may also choose to send screenshots, descriptions, or reproduction steps to support. Do not include sensitive personal information in feedback unless it is necessary to explain the issue.
Data Deletion
Deleting the app removes locally stored cookbook data from that device. If you signed in before deleting the app, synced cookbook data may still exist in your Supabase-backed account.
